Love That Lasts

true love

We’ll wrap up this week with one more song selection added to the Relationships Playlist of the FACS Soundtrack.  The song Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? originally recorded by the Shirelles.

This is a very old song based on an equally time-worn theme.  It’s a question that we’ve all asked ourselves at one time or another.  It’s likely that your students will be asking themselves the same question very soon.  Hope this song is useful in opening the important discussion of how to recognize “the real thing.”

I really like the updated version of this song and I think your students will like it, too.

Tonight you’re mine completely
You give you love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment’s pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I’m the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun?

I’d like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?

(INSTRUMENTAL)

So tell me now, and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Have a great weekend!
